FenBeary Folk,miniature bears,mohair bears,one of a kind bears

Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my site

My name is Sue Pemblington and I am 42 years old, I live in the Fens of Lincolnshire, which are very beautiful and I can see for miles and miles. I have been married for 19 years and we have a daughter who is 16, she has just left school and started college, how time flies. We also have a German Shephard, Dixie who is 3, she is both a delight and a handful. I work full time as an assistant accountant for a firm of Accountants in a the nearby town of Grantham, Sir Issac Newton and Lady Thatcher came from here, I actually went to her old school, not at the same time but some times it feels like it.

I first became a collector way back in the mid-nineties, collecting a well known beanie bear, this soon progressed on to other makes, my love was fueled by my own mother, much to my husbands dismay, who had become a collector also and was not helped by her working part time in a gift shop selling bears, then my daughter got in on the act. The pride of my hug is a 8" bear that was bought for me when I was born by a neighbours 15 year old son and I never played with him, he is 42 as well and just perfect, I am not sure who made him and I hope that one day I will find out more about him. Now how did I go from collecting to making, well it all started last Christmas, him who must be obeyed said "okay then you can have a steiff, as long as its not too dear" !!!!! the world was my oyster so to speak, I set to work trying to find one I would love forever.

During my surfing journey I was a regular visitor to the bear section of ebay and it was there that I noticed Artist as a sub-catagory. What was that? I promptly had a look and thought what wonderful creations, all different, over time there were two teddy bear artist whose bears really caught my eye, I just knew that one day I wanted to create something as beautiful as they had, they know who they are and I will thank them forever for their inspiration.

The rest as they is history, I do hope you enjoy my site and the bears.

Many FenHugs Sue x
